Civilian Supporters Delima

Just picked up a surplus "ACU Assault MOLLE BackPack Pack" from a neighbor for a few dollars. Looking to outfit it with a patch to identify me as a "Civilian Supporter of GI VOICE". Any ideas? Looking around the net in the meantime. Thanks' guys.

Coffee and counseling both

Army Pfc. Ramona Schrupp ordered her usual beverage at Lakewood’s new coffee shop: a soy vanilla latte with two shots of espresso.

The soldier with the 51st Signal Brigade at Fort Lewis has visited Coffee Strong about eight or nine times since it opened Nov. 5.

The coffeehouse was started by veterans opposed to the war in Iraq. But Schrupp said organizers support the troops without pushing a political agenda.

The 20-year-old says she likes the atmosphere and loves the java.  read more »

Coffee shop aims to help soldiers connect, heal

(click on the KOMO 4 link to watch the video) FORT LEWIS, Wash. -- Just steps from the Army base sits Coffee Strong, where coffee and combat talk brew together.

Created by veterans, the shop recently opened with the mission to help soldiers in service.

Seth Manzel, one of the driving forces behind the shop, said soldiers can bring in any sort of problem for consultation.

"If soldiers have problems with their command, if they have command abuse problems, if they're not getting enough time with their family," he said. "Everyone that's come in has been very positive about what we're doing."  read more »

A New Kind of Coffee Shop for the Military
